Despite being a bit tired and worse for wear now that it’s ‘glory days’ as a pleasure beach have come and gone, Portobello is home to a very tasty fish supper. But I guess one wouldn’t expect any less that close to the sea. And this is coming from someone who claims that nowhere can beat Whitby’s fish and chips experience.

A US Gaming company have revived Dundee-based developer Real Time World (RTW) by buying shares in the business and plans to open a new studio in Edinburgh.
Set up in 2002 by Dave Jones, who was part of the firm responsible for creating Grand Theft Auto, RTW went into administration last August with around 250 jobs being lost.

Following this morning’s fears that a nuclear meltdown is imminent after temperatures continued to rise in Fukushima’s second reactor, a government spokesman has released a statement saying another major explosion is unlikely. With the cooling water having evaporated, sea water is being reinjected into the plant to regain safer temperature levels.

A second blast at Fukushima Daichii’s nuclear power plant has rocked Japan just three days after the first reactor exploded.
This latest explosion is said to be caused by a hydrogen build-up in reactor 3 and has left 11 people injured, one seriously.
